Wetland: Florida

This wetland is part of the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge in Florida. The Refuge is located just north of Everglades National Park in southern Florida. Loxahatchee NWR is a large wetland refuge, which provides habitat for wading birds, alligators, deer and small mammals. Loxahatchee NWR and Everglades National Park are part of an important wetland ecosystem that help purify the water runoff entering Florida Bay.
