Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
All of the Hawaiian Islands were formed by volcanic eruptions, but only the Big Island of Hawaii continues to experience activity. Pu’u’O’o is a small volcano on the flanks of Kilauea that continues to produce lava. A small volcano called Loihi is growing off the coast of the Big Island, but its peak is still below sea level.
