Voyager 2 captured this image of clouds in the outer atmosphere of Neptune. The cloud streaks range from 30 to 50 km (18 to 31 miles) wide.
The white, upper clouds consist mainly of frozen methane and the darker, lower clouds are likely composed of hydrogen sulfide.
The width of the cloud streaks range from, and their shadow widths range from 30 to 50 km (18 to 31 miles). Cloud heights appear to be of the order of 50 km (31 miles).
