The Persian Gulf and the Delta of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, Kuwait, Iraq, and Iran. The broad delta complex of the Tigris, Euphrates, Shatt al Arab, and Karun rivers empties into the Persian Gulf. The narrow corridor between northeast Kuwait (Bubiyan Island) and the west-southwest marshlands of Iran is Iraq's only access to the Persian Gulf.
