This is a false-color image of Tycho Crater. Although the natural color of the Moon is a brownish gray, the color here was artificially "stretched" by a computer to aid in visual interpretation. The central peaks show blue coloration, indicating that different rocks occur there than elsewhere in the crater. Clementine's color images allow scientists to map rock types over the entire Moon.
