This Apollo 11 view shows the large Theophilus Crater at the northwest edge of the Sea of Nectar. The smooth area is the sea. The smaller Madler Crater, about 23 km in diameter, is east of Theophilus. In the background is the large Fracastorius Crater and the smaller Beaumont Crater.
