This portion of the large Posidonius Crater at the northeastern edge of the Sea of Serenity was photographed from Apollo 15 in lunar orbit. The largest crater inside Posidonius is Posidonius A. Posidonius is partly filled with mare material, which also covers part of the rim. This view is looking northeastward.
