This image of Plato Crater was obtained from Clementine, using an ultraviolet/visible-light camera from an altitude of 485 km. The strip width of this mosaic is about 90 km. The smallest craters visible are 600 m across. North is up, so you can see the western half of this crater. It lies in the northern edge of the Sea of Rains and to the west of the lunar Alps.
