This view looks south at Herodotus Crater and Schroeter's Valley from the Apollo 15 command/service module. The large crater to the right is Herodotus. Schroeter's Valley is a windy rille in the Aristarchus Plateau in the Ocean of Storms. The head of Schroeter's Valley is called Cobra Head. Aristarchus is the large crater (35-km diameter) to the left of Cobra Head.
