These craters in Qubec province near Hudson Bay formed simultaneously from two separate but probably related meteorite impacts.

The larger crater, Clearwater Lake West (left), has a 10-km-diameter ring of islands. The two lakes are very rarely recognized as impact craters from the ground. The ring of islands in Clearwater Lake West is a central uplifted area and is covered with impact melts. The central peak of the smaller Clearwater Lake East (right) is submerged.
